My Eyes Are on You, Lord

Dear Kids,

2 Chronicles 20:12b. “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.”

When we are trying to follow God there are often times when we have no idea what to do. God’s Word gives us principles about many different things, but often in a specific situation we may not know what our next action should be. Over the years I have come against different circumstances in which I have felt lacking in wisdom about how to proceed.

There were times when you children were little that each person would be having a bad day. Tensions were high and everyone was stepping on everyone else’s nerves. I wanted to restore peace and order ,but had no idea how to get everyone to settle down and “be kind.”
Other times there were relational issues that were difficult because everyone had a differing opinion and the decisions being made were crucial. When at an impasse, it was hard to know how to proceed.
There are also daily spiritual battles that can seem confusing and impossible. We seek to discern God’s will through His word, but again are not sure exactly what our next step should be. Sometimes life just feels like a war.
Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming conflict. A vast army came to make war against him. He resolved to seek help from the Lord, so he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. The people came together to ask for God’s help. Jehoshaphat led them in a desperate prayer in which he reminded God of all He had done for them in the past and His promises for the future. He affirmed his belief in God’s almighty power and his own helplessness. Finally, he admitted that he had no idea what to do, but that his eyes were upon Him waiting for His direction, protection, and victory.
The Spirit of the Lord came upon one of the godly men present who declared a word from the Lord, “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s . . . . Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.” What a relief that must have been to hand the problem over to the Almighty One.
The next day Jehoshaphat led his men out in faith in what God had promised. He appointed men  to go before the army singing and praising the Lord. As they left camp they still did not know what was going to happen, but their eyes and hearts were in the right place. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy troops, who were soundly defeated. When all the other kingdoms heard how the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel, the fear of God came upon them.
I am encouraged by this true story because many many times my prayer has been, “I do not know what to do, but my eyes are on you, Lord.” He promises to give wisdom if we just ask and don’t doubt. So
when the time comes when you are completely baffled just admit it. Ask God for help, keep your eyes on Him, and watch Him step up in a way you never imagined.

Love,

Mama

Who can write more clearly than you about these matters!
I promise you, nobody! I liked the article and assume
you have more such material? If yes, so please note it because it
is somewhat unusual for me in the current instant, and not for me,
that is my opinion. I personally can discover an in-depth guide of yours and also be mindful of all the news and the latest data.
