Leave Your Baggage Behind

How do people handle their insecurities? Each person has a different defense mechanism. Some try to hide from anyone or anything that would make them feel inadequate. Others create a good front, blustering their way through life while they hide their true feelings. Still others employ a combination of both. None of these are the best plan. The best method is to search for the root of the problem and face it head on with the truth.

Goodbye Insecurity

The more I learn about human nature, the more I realize that so many of us are saddled with a personality that is insecure. Insecurity comes in many forms and is disguised by many actions and attitudes.

Forever Changed!

In the year that Judah's King Uzziah died, a man named Isaiah had a vision. In his vision he saw the Lord God seated on a throne, high and exalted above all else. The train of his kingly robe filled the temple, and above Him were angelic beings who were calling out to one another. Their awe-inspiring chant lifted up the mighty King of heaven and described Him with these words, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory." Just the sound of their voices caused the earth to shake and smoke to fill the temple.

Facing Crucial Decisions

How do you go about making decisions? Every day we are faced with choices. Sometimes the answer may be just a matter of preference, but other times the outcomes of our choices are crucial. Often we tend to think that the results of our decisions will only affect us, but this is far from the truth. The choices we make often create a ripple effect that spreads far beyond our personal borders. This is especially true for leaders.

Spiritual Name Dropping

In our world today there are many people who like to name drop. You know the kind - after getting an opportunity to meet someone famous or influential, they regularly insert that person's name into every conversation. This action causes the name dropper to feel bigger and more important than they really are.

A Whole New World

Every once in a while people find out about a hidden resource that was right under their nose and yet they never knew about it. What a blessing to discover this treasure. Yet what a waste to have had access for so long without taking advantage of it.
