Starlink, Mountain Roads, and Connection With God Through Jesus Christ
By Sandra Sheridan | | Salvation
When a family getaway in the mountains left us without internet service, a Starlink connection reminded me of a far greater truth: the only lasting connection with God through Jesus Christ comes through faith, not human effort.
The Eternal Impact of Faithful Service for God
By Sandra Sheridan | | Discipleship
Faithful service for God does not always happen on a stage or behind a pulpit. Sometimes it happens quietly through everyday acts of love, generosity, and obedience. The story of Tabitha in Acts 9 is a powerful reminder that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways to point others to Christ.

Knock, Knock, Who’s There?
By Sandra Sheridan | | Decision-Making, Encouragement, Relationships
Everyone is longing for a satisfying relationship that will meet the deepest emotional needs. We were created with this burning desire deep inside and will never be complete until it is met. So often we try to fill this void by searching for the "right" person who will love us and make us feel good and whole. We burn ourselves out running from one person to the next, always being disappointed that we can not find the perfect match for us. Even if we have found "Mr. or Mrs. Right," when we expect them to fulfill our every desire for deep relationship we will ultimately be disappointed and frustrated.

Weak Strength

Today we spend much time and money gaining knowledge. The cost of a college education is extremely high but very important to have. In this day and age it is often expected to go on with your education and get a Master's degree and even a Doctorate. Even after finishing school and getting a job we are required to take continuing education classes so we can keep current in our field and expertise. Over the years I have learned to enjoy gaining more and more information. There is never an end to what you can learn.
Power to Persevere
By Sandra Sheridan | | Decision-Making, Faith, Family Life, Fellowship, Hope
The topic of conversation at church the past few weeks has been the persecution throughout the world for believers who stand firm for Jesus Christ. There are many faithful men and women who have persevered through difficult trials, even to the point of imprisonment and death, without backing down on what they know to be true. What gives these brothers and sisters the strength to carry on in the face of terrible suffering? What would I do in a similar situation?
