How to Be Sure You Have Fellowship With God
By Sandra Sheridan | | Faith, Family Life, Fellowship, Wisdom for Living
There is nothing worse than working hard to accomplish something and finding out in the end it was all a waste. Yet so many people try on their own to develop fellowship with God, but eventually find out they've fallen short.
God Is Light So Stop Chasing Shadows
By Sandra Sheridan | | Faith, Fellowship, Small Town Happenings, Wisdom for Living
Why is it that God's children know God is light, but continue to chase shadows? Yesterday was the most beautiful day. The temperature was perfect. The sun was bright and cheerful. And the gentle breeze was inviting. I grabbed a blanket and joined Abigail on the recently cut grass to catch some rays.
Take It From One Who Was There

Who are you more likely to believe – a storyteller who is reciting a tale 2nd or 3rd hand or an eyewitness to an event?
He Giveth More Grace
By Sandra Sheridan | | Comfort, Family Life, Hope, Prayer, Prayer, Wisdom for Living
Why doesn’t God answer all our prayers the way we wish He would? This is a question that humanity has asked down through the ages. Even the Apostle Paul had a request with which God did not comply.
Don’t Blame Me – Mama Tried!
By Sandra Sheridan | | Decision-Making, Family Life, Help for the Hurting, Hope, Obedience, Transforming the Mind
From the beginning of time there has always been a trend to cast blame. When one is caught in sin, it is very natural to point at someone else as the cause for the indiscretion instead of taking responsibility for his or her own actions. Adam and Eve were the first people to try this ploy for getting off the hook.
Eve, deceived by the serpent, ate some of the fruit from the tree that God had forbidden, and then offered some to her husband. Without any argument Adam also ate of the fruit. Sometime later, when confronted by God with their disobedience, Adam tried to pass the buck to Eve. Then Eve, when questioned, blamed the serpent. The facts were right, but the attitude was wrong. Instead of taking responsibility for their own decisions, they tried to cover up their sin by blaming someone else.

God Prepares the Way: Lessons from Peter and Cornelius in Acts 10
By Sandra Sheridan | | Knowing God
Have you ever wondered if God is working while you wait? In Acts 10, God orchestrated events in two different places at the same time, showing how God prepares the way long before we understand what He is doing. The story of Peter and Cornelius reminds us that even when we cannot see the whole picture, God is faithfully carrying out His plans.

Starlink, Mountain Roads, and Connection With God Through Jesus Christ
By Sandra Sheridan | | Salvation
When a family getaway in the mountains left us without internet service, a Starlink connection reminded me of a far greater truth: the only lasting connection with God through Jesus Christ comes through faith, not human effort.
The Eternal Impact of Faithful Service for God
By Sandra Sheridan | | Discipleship
Faithful service for God does not always happen on a stage or behind a pulpit. Sometimes it happens quietly through everyday acts of love, generosity, and obedience. The story of Tabitha in Acts 9 is a powerful reminder that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways to point others to Christ.
