The hills reverberated with intimidating words hurled across the valley. The bronze covered nine foot frame was bathed in the morning sun as the armies lined up for yet another face-off. For forty days now the Philistines and the Israelites had been battling. Every morning and evening the war cries echoed across the valley only to be replaced by the pounding of hundreds of Israelite feet fleeing from the scene of terror. The bravest warrior's heart melted with fear when the Philistine champion, Goliath, appeared on the scene.

During a recent Sunday dinner our family had a conversation about high school football. There are many things to deal with when you take your place in the lineup. Along with executing plays and preparing to defend your quarterback or ball carrier, you will probably have to deal with the opposing team's "smack talk." For as long as games have been played, players have tried to rattle each other by engaging in chatter on the field that will distract their opponents.

Recently I read an article about developing a business plan. When engaging in a business venture, it is important to have a system by which you develop your clientele. Though you may have an ultimate goal in mind, the process by which you achieve this goal is crucial. We have all heard it said, "If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail."

A hundred conversations would play out in my head - not my conversations but other people's conversations. I could hear every word that they were saying about me even before they were spoken.  The pressure to perform was tremendous because there was so much at stake - my reputation!

What is my property worth? This is a question that we hear regularly at our office. People call with a desire to have a market analysis of their real estate done to find out what it is worth. Every time someone asks the question, their hope is that their property is worth as much as possible.

Stress - a mental, emotional, or physical strain or tension. We all experience it to some degree or another at different times in our lives, but I don't think I truly knew what it could do until a number of years ago.
